Distributed Computing Conferences

	The sixth BOINC workshop "is "workshop on BOINC and volunteer computing" which shares "information about BOINC and projects using it, through short presentations and informal discussions, in a relaxed, open and friendly atmosphere. The workshop aims to stimulate new developments and activities related to volunteer computing, and to guide the future development of BOINC." The workshop will be held from August 31 through September 1, 2010 in London, England.
	Grid 2010 "was "a unique one conducted in Russia on the issues relating to the use of Grid-technologies in various areas of science, education, industry and business. The Grid-technologies transform the technique of scientific research and start exerting influence upon the commercial and financial world. Special attention is expected to be focused on Grid-applications in science and education, in industry and business." Grid 2010 was held from June 28 - July 3, 2010 in Dubna, Russia.
	Grid 2009 "IEEE's Grid conference series is an annual international meeting that brings together a community of researchers, developers, practitioners, and user involved with Grid technology. The conference featured invited talks, pre-coordinated workshops and refereed paper presentations." Grid 2009 was held from October 12 - 16, 2009 in Banff, Alberta, Canada.
	CCGrid 2009 is the ninth annual "IEEE/ACM International Symposium on Cluster Computing and the Grid." It will cover topics in the following subjects: Cluster technologies Grid Architectures and Systems Utility Computing Models for Clusters and Grids Grid Economies and Service Architectures Service Composition and Orchestration Middleware for Clusters and Grids Parallel and Wide-Area File Systems Peer-to-Peer Systems Cloud Computing Community and collaborative computing networks Grid Trust and Security Support for Autonomic Grid Infrastructure Resource Management Scheduling and Load Balancing Programming Models, Tools, and Environments Performance Evaluation and Modeling Grid-based Problem Solving Environments Scientific, Engineering, and Commercial Applications The conference will be held from May 18-21, 2009 in Shanghai, China. The deadline for submitting proposals is February 27, 2009. The registration deadline is March 15, 2009.
	The two-day Asia@home workshop will be held on April 16-17, 2009, at Academia Sinica in Taipei, Taiwan. The following information is from Dr. Francois Grey of CERN: "[The conference] will introduce the technologies underlying volunteer computing to scientists in Asia, who may be interested to use volunteer computing as a tool in their future research. The workshop takes a hands-on approach, mixing lectures by leading developers of volunteer computing software with case studies by scientists who have been applying it in a number of fields. In addition, topics such as the interfacing of Grid computing and cloud computing with volunteer computing will be addressed, with demos of practical solutions. "The participants will be tutored in several aspects of volunteer computing, including how to adapt existing code to run in volunteer computing mode, how to install a server for volunteer computing, and new trends in "volunteer thinking" projects where the volunteer does data analysis via a web interface. Participation in the workshop is free, although the number of participants will be restricted. So if you are interested, please register early. A detailed programme and list of confirmed lecturers is provided in the attached PDF file, as well as registration details. The registration deadline is April 14, 2009.
	Grid'2008 was the Third International Conference on "Distributed Computing and Grid-technologies in Science and Education." It was held from June 30 - July 4, 2008 in Dubna, Russia.
	CCGrid 2008 was the eighth annual "IEEE/ACM International Symposium on Cluster Computing and the Grid." It covered topics in cluster computing and global network computing. It was held from May 19-22, 2008 in Lyons, France.
	PCGrid 2008 was the second Workshop on Desktop Grids and Volunteer Computing Systems. "Desktop grids and volunteer computing systems utilize the free resources available in Intranet and Internet environments for supporting large-scale computation and storage. The purpose of the workshop is to provide a forum for discussing recent advances and identifying open issues for the development of scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure desktop grid systems." It was held on April 18 in Miami, Florida.
	CCGrid 2007 was the seventh annual "IEEE/ACM International Symposium on Cluster Computing and the Grid." It covered topics in cluster computing and global network computing. It was held from May 14-17, 2007 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. See a summary of the conference.
	CCGrid 2006 was the sixth annual "IEEE/ACM International Symposium on Cluster Computing and the Grid." 	CCGrid 2005 was the fifth annual "IEEE/ACM International Symposium on Cluster Computing and the Grid." It covered topics in cluster computing and global network computing. It was held from May 9-12, 2005 in Cardiff, Wales, U.K.
	CCGrid 2004 was the fourth annual "IEEE/ACM International Symposium on Cluster Computing and the Grid." It covered topics in cluster computing and global network computing. It was held from April 12-15, 2004 in Chicago, Illinois.
	PDCS-2003 was the 16th "International Conference on Parallel and Distributed Computing Systems," organized by ISCA - International Society for Computers and Their Applications. It "addressed, explored and exchanged information on the state-of-the-art in all areas of Parallel and Distributed Computing Systems, their modeling and simulation, design, use and performance, and their impact." It was held from August 13 to 15, 2003, in Reno, Nevada, United States. Authors were invited to submit original papers for the conference. 	CCGrid 2003 was the third annual "IEEE/ACM International Symposium on Cluster Computing and the Grid." It covered topics in cluster computing and global network computing. It was held from May 12-15, 2003 in Tokyo, Japan. Authors were invited to submit original papers to the Third International Scientific Workshop on GLOBAL and PEER-TO-PEER Computing, a workshop collocated with CCGrid 2003 and chaired by Franck Cappello and Spyros Lalis.
	CCGrid 2002 was the second annual "IEEE International Symposium on Cluster Computing and the Grid." It covered topics in cluster computing and global network computing. It was held from May 21-24, 2002 in Berlin, Germany.
	CCGrid 2001 was an "IEEE International Symposium on Cluster Computing and the Grid." It covered topics in cluster computing and global network computing. It was held from May 16-18, 2001 in Brisbane, Australia. See the best papers from the conference. Franck Cappello of the XtremWeb project and Spyros Lalis organized a special session on Global Computing at this conference and issued a Call For Papers to anyone who might be interested in presenting a paper about this subject at the conference.
