Thursday, February 2nd, 2006. Sean A. Irvine set up a new amazing record for GNFS, http://xyyxf.at.tut.by/records.html#gnfs . It took 8 days to split a 138-digit cofactor, http://xyyxf.at.tut.by/records/c138_95_89.txt , of 9589 + 8995.

Wednesday, June 7th, 2006. Another GNFS record, http://xyyxf.at.tut.by/records.html#gnfs , one digit larger and 3 days longer. Congrats to Sean A. Irvine for completing the factorization of 9584 + 8495! http://xyyxf.at.tut.by/records/c139_95_84.txt

Sunday, September 10th, 2006. The total number of the composites was reduced to 2400. You see, the speed of the factoring process became as low as exactly one hundred per year. The next hundred of composites will probably take several years...

Saturday, September 28th, 2006. A new record-breaking factorizaiton: Tony Galvan found a 55-digit prime factor, http://xyyxf.at.tut.by/records/p55_103_92.txt , of 10392 + 92103 with ECM, http://xyyxf.at.tut.by/records.html#ecm .

Monday, March 12th, 2007. Hallstein A. Hansen established an overwhelming QS record, http://xyyxf.at.tut.by/records.html#qs , of 126 digits http://xyyxf.at.tut.by/records/c126_148_32.txt . He completed the factorization of 148^32 + 32^148 in six months using MSieve 1.12. What a patience!

Friday, January 12th, 2007. MSieve 1.15, http://www.boo.net/~jasonp/qs.html , was released, http://www.mersenneforum.org/showpost.php?p=95856 . Still slow, but already working NFS implementation.

Sunday, September 9th, 2007. Hallstein A. Hansen improved his own GNFS record, http://xyyxf.at.tut.by/records.html#gnfs , to 142 digits, http://xyyxf.at.tut.by/records/c142_150_48.txt , completing the factorization of 150^48 + 48^150.

Wednesday, September 5th, 2007. All the numbers up to x = 95 inclusively had been completely factored.

Sunday, October 28th, 2007. All the numbers up to x = 100 inclusively had been completely factored. It's a real milestone! Almost 6 years had been passed since there numbers were involved in the project. Tuesday, December 18th, 2007. A bit higher GNFS record, http://xyyxf.at.tut.by/records.html#gnfs , this time: the 144-digit, http://xyyxf.at.tut.by/records/c144_141_97.txt , cofactor of 14197 + 97141 was cracked just in 12 days by Sean A. Irvine.

Thursday, February 14th, 2008. Hallstein A. Hansen and Lars Solem raised the SNFS record, http://xyyxf.at.tut.by/records.html#snfs , up to 215 digits, http://xyyxf.at.tut.by/records/c215_131_44.txt , completing the factorization of 131^44 + 44^131. The job was done in less than 3 months.
