distributed.net's OGR-25 project 99% complete

Postby kpearson » Tue Sep 30, 2008 10:04 pm

According to bovine's September 30, 2008, status update the OGR-25 P2 project should be complete within the next 2 weeks (so participants should use default buffer sizes so they don't hold a work unit longer than 2 weeks and should re-enable their RC5-72 participation so that they can get RC5 work units when OGR25 work units are occasionally unavailable. The most interesting part of the update is this mention of an upcoming OGR project:

"Finally, we would like to mention that we are currently finalizing a next-generation OGR project that will further the exploration into even higher-order Optimal Golomb Rulers. Stay tuned for more details later."

This sounds like it will be more than just OGR-26.
